Metaspins is a crypto-only casino and sportsbook that opened in 2022 and built its reputation on rakeback rather than on sticky bonuses. The most important thing to know about it in 2026 is not on its promotions page: the licence and the operating company both changed.

Who runs Metaspins, and under which licence

Until 2025 the site was operated by Metaspins N.V., a Curaçao company, under that island's old master/sub-licence system. That system no longer exists: Curaçao replaced it with direct licensing by the Curaçao Gaming Authority, all legacy sub-licences were revoked, and the last master licence expired on 31 January 2025.

Metaspins did not stay. According to the site's own footer and its terms, last updated on 29 July 2026, metaspins.com is now owned and operated by 3-102-959384 SRL, a Costa Rican company, and is licensed by the Government of the Autonomous Island of Anjouan, Union of Comoros, under licence ALSI-202606048-FI2. Curaçao now appears in its terms only inside the list of prohibited territories, and Metaspins N.V. is not mentioned anywhere.

One detail worth clearing up, because it circulates as if it were a licence: the number 160102 that many reviews still quote is the old company registration number in Willemstad. It never was a gambling licence.

What does an Anjouan licence mean in practice? It is the lightest of the jurisdictions used by crypto casinos. Since 2026 Anjouan does require every licensee to have a designated alternative dispute resolution provider, and the regulator assigns one if the operator does not. That is a real improvement. But unlike Malta, where a ruling in the player's favour binds the operator, in Anjouan honouring the outcome depends largely on the operator's willingness and the regulator's appetite to escalate. It is not a red flag by itself. It does mean the operator's own track record carries almost all the weight, because the seal carries little.

The bonus, and the number that actually matters

The headline offer is 100% up to 1 BTC on your first deposit. Every review quotes that figure. Almost none quote the requirement, which is the part that decides whether an offer is worth taking.

Metaspins' terms state: "All deposits, rewards and NFT revenue share needs to be wagered at least 1x before withdrawal." A 1x requirement is unusually light — the industry norm for a 100% match is 30x to 40x — and it is consistent with a house that makes its money from rakeback and volume rather than from bonuses players can never clear.

Two caveats. First, the dedicated bonus-terms page does not publish a separate multiplier for the welcome match, so the 1x above is the only figure the operator commits to in writing; if you are depositing a large amount for the bonus, get it confirmed in support chat before you do. Second, the terms note that the maximum withdrawal "could be limited depending on the payment method chosen" without publishing a cap.

This is not a no-KYC casino

Metaspins is often filed under "no KYC" because you can register and play with a wallet and no documents. That is true at the start and not true as a rule. The terms reserve the right to verify identity "upon your gambling reaching a certain threshold", and to do so at any time at the operator's discretion. You get 30 days to comply with a request, and the account can be locked or withdrawals prevented until verification completes.
