Same wheel as European Roulette, same 37 pockets, same 97.3% RTP. But on even-money bets this table is twice as good, and almost nobody looks for it.
La Partage is the whole reason to be here
Bet red, black, odd, even, high or low, and if the ball lands on zero, you get half your stake back instead of losing all of it.
That single rule cuts the house edge on those bets from 2.7% to 1.35%. It is the lowest edge available on any roulette table anywhere, and it costs you nothing to take — the rule applies automatically, you do not have to ask for it or bet differently.
Some tables use En Prison instead: your bet is held for one more spin rather than half-refunded. The long-run effect is the same 1.35%.
Is it rigged?
The number comes from a certified random number generator, and the wheel animation renders a result already decided. As with every roulette, the house does not need to interfere: the zero is the business model.
What to check instead is the casino. A great table inside a site with unresolved complaints is still a bad place to keep money — our comparison sorts sites by exactly that.
The rule only applies to half the table
This is the catch, and it is worth stating plainly. La Partage covers even-money bets only. Bet a single number, a corner or a dozen on this same table and you are back to the standard 2.7% edge, identical to European Roulette.
So French Roulette is not universally better. It is dramatically better if you play red/black or odd/even, and exactly the same as European if you do not.
Demo or real money
Use the demo to confirm the rule is actually implemented before you fund anything. Bet on red, wait for a zero, and watch what happens to the stake. If half comes back, the table is what it says it is. If it all disappears, you are on a European wheel wearing a French label.
How to judge it in thirty seconds
One zero on the wheel, and the words La Partage or En Prison in the rules. Both present means the best roulette bet in any casino. BGaming rates this table low volatility, which fits: the even-money bets it is built around are the calmest wagers on the felt.
Where to play it
Fewer casinos carry French Roulette than the other two, which is precisely why it is worth looking for. If you cannot find it, European Roulette is the next best table, and American Roulette is the one to avoid. The full family is in roulette.
