Three dice, one throw, and around thirty different bets you can place on the result. Those bets are not equally good — they are not even close, and that is the only thing you need to learn.
How it works
Three dice are rolled. You bet on what they will show: a total, a specific number appearing, a pair, a triple, or simply whether the sum is low or high. Payouts run from even money up to 150 to 1.
The spread of payouts is the spread of house edges, and it is enormous. In Sic Bo the difference between the best bet and the worst on the same table is bigger than the difference between blackjack and a slot machine.
The bets, ranked honestly
Small (4-10) and Big (11-17). Close to even money, and by a wide margin the most sensible wagers on the felt.
Single number. Pays more when the number appears on more than one die. Middling.
Specific totals. The further from the middle, the worse the value.
Any triple, and specific triples. The 150-to-1 payout is what people come for and it is the worst bet on the table by a distance.
If you play only Small and Big, Sic Bo is a reasonable game. If you chase triples, it is one of the most expensive games in any casino.
Is it rigged?
The dice are a random number generator and the roll is decided before the animation. BGaming’s titles are certified by independent labs, so the distribution is tested rather than asserted.
Worth saying plainly: a Sic Bo table does not need to cheat when players voluntarily choose the 150-to-1 bet. The house edge on that wager does the work that cheating would. The question to ask about the casino is whether it pays, which is a licence and complaints matter — see our comparison.
The numbers
BGaming does not publish a single RTP for this title, and honestly a single figure would be misleading: the return depends entirely on which bets you make. Read the paytable and compare each payout against how often that outcome actually occurs — with three dice, the maths is public and unchanging.
Demo or real money
Use the demo to feel how rarely triples land. Fifty rolls betting only triples will teach you more than any article, including this one, and it costs nothing.
Where to play it
Sic Bo appears in most crypto casino lobbies, often alongside its Macau variant. The game is the same everywhere; the house is not. More on the same shelf in dice.
