Blackjack has the lowest house edge of any game in a casino, and the single rule that decides how low is printed on the table in letters most players never read.
3:2 or 6:5, and why it is the whole game
When you are dealt a natural — an ace with a ten — the table pays either three units for every two staked, or six for every five. The difference sounds cosmetic. It is not: a 6:5 payout adds roughly 1.4 percentage points to the house edge, which on blackjack is more than tripling it.
XProGaming publishes no RTP figure here, and it does not need to, because in a table game the rules are the return. Under liberal rules and correct play blackjack sits near 0.5% edge — around 99.5% back. Change the natural to 6:5 and you are playing a materially worse game with the same cards.
The other rules that move the number, in rough order of how much they cost you: whether the dealer hits soft 17, how many decks, whether doubling after a split is allowed, and whether you may surrender. All of them are in the rules panel.
Basic strategy is not optional
Blackjack is the only common casino game where your decisions change the mathematics rather than just the variance. The correct play for every hand against every dealer card has been solved for decades, and playing by feel instead costs several percentage points — enough to turn the best game in the house into a mediocre one.
The three rules that recover most of that gap, if you learn nothing else: always split aces and eights, never split tens, and stand on hard 17 or better regardless of what the dealer shows. Never take insurance. It is a side bet on the dealer having a ten, priced worse than the main game, and it is offered precisely when players feel most anxious.
Is online blackjack rigged?
The shuffle comes from a generator tested by independent laboratories before XProGaming can supply an operator. The cards dealt are the cards drawn.
What that does not cover is card counting, which does not work here for a structural reason rather than a policing one: the deck is typically reshuffled every hand, so there is no count to carry. Anyone selling an online counting system is selling something the software makes impossible.
And as always, the certificate ends at the game. Our comparison ranks casinos by licence in public registers and unresolved complaints, which is the risk it leaves untouched.

The demo deals the same maths. Do one thing before staking money: find the natural payout in the rules panel. If it says 6:5, close it and find another table — that single line costs more than every decision you will make in the session.
Where to play it
Blackjack is identical across lobbies; the table rules are not. Its neighbours are the other blackjack games. For a table with a published figure, BGaming’s Multihand Blackjack documents 99.23% — the highest verified return in this entire catalogue.
