Thunderpick is a well-known esports betting site that has been running since 2017. It also carries the lowest independent safety rating we recorded anywhere in this market, and the reason is a single statistic: more than half of the complaints filed against it are unresolved.

Read the ratio rather than the total. Twenty-one complaints is a small number in absolute terms — Shuffle has 176, MyStake 753. But at MyStake, none are unresolved. Here, over half of everyone who escalated a dispute is still waiting, and only two players have ever had a complaint resolved in their favour. A low volume of complaints with a high unresolved share is worse than a high volume with a clean resolution record, because it suggests the process itself does not work.

This is the case that best illustrates why we stopped treating "licensed in Curaçao" as an answer. Thunderpick has a real, traceable licence from a real regulator, and the worst dispute-resolution record on this page. The licence tells you the operator exists and can be identified. It does not tell you the operator will engage when you are owed money.

What it is good at

Esports coverage, genuinely. Thunderpick's markets on CS, Dota and League are deeper than most crypto sportsbooks bother with, which is why it has the community it has. If that were the only consideration it would rank far higher than 2.0.

Why 2.0

It is not a fraud accusation and we have no evidence of one. It is what the public record shows: eleven of twenty-one escalated disputes unresolved, two ever resolved for the player, the lowest independent safety rating in the market, and a licence currently under reassessment.
